Privacy policy

Your journey belongs to you.

JUNO PORTALS uses your location only when you ask the app to find portals near you or when you try to open a portal. Your location is used to determine where you are in relation to a portal. We do not store your raw GPS location or create a history of where you have been.

You can explore JUNO PORTALS without creating a traditional account. When needed, an anonymous account is created to remember the portals you open, the experiences you complete and the relics you collect. You can later connect your journey to an email address if you want to keep it across devices.

Your journey may include your email address, first name, opened and completed portals, collected relics, your responses and your privacy choices.

Your words are private by default. A response marked PRIVATE can only be accessed as part of your own journey. If you deliberately choose ANONYMOUS, your response may appear in that portal's Archive for other women who have completed the same portal. Your name and email address are not shown with it. Anonymous responses may also be sent to JUNO PORTALS for moderation and notification purposes.

You can change an anonymously shared response back to private. If you delete your account, your responses are deleted too, including responses previously shared anonymously.

A Future Self message is private correspondence between you and yourself. JUNO does not read, review, analyse, moderate, publish or use its content, and never uses it for marketing. It is encrypted while it is stored and decrypted only to return it to you at the time you asked for. Postmark delivers that email as our transactional email provider. Once it has been handed to Postmark for delivery, it is removed from our active database. If you cancel a message or delete your account, it is removed from our active database and is never sent.

JUNO PORTALS uses Supabase for authentication and database services, Mapbox for maps and Postmark for transactional emails such as login links. These services may process the technical information necessary to provide their part of the service.

If you separately choose to receive news or other marketing from JUNO, that consent is optional and is not required to use your journey.

You can permanently delete your JUNO PORTALS account and journey at any time using DELETE MY DATA below.

Terms

JUNO PORTALS is an experience,
not an instruction to take risks.

Portals are connected to real places. You are responsible for deciding whether a location is safe and accessible when you visit it. Never climb, cross barriers, enter private or restricted property, approach dangerous cliff edges or ignore weather, tides, road conditions, opening hours or local rules in order to reach a portal.

Locations, access conditions and the surrounding environment can change. A portal appearing on the map does not guarantee that the place is currently open, accessible or safe.

JUNO PORTALS provides reflective, creative and educational experiences. Its stories, questions, rituals and other content are not medical, psychological, legal or other professional advice.

The texts, audio, artwork, portal concepts and other editorial content within JUNO PORTALS remain the intellectual property of JUNO PORTALS and its respective rights holders. Collecting a digital relic gives you access to it as part of your personal journey; it does not transfer ownership of the artwork or other content to you.

If you choose to leave words anonymously in an Archive, you give JUNO PORTALS permission to display that response anonymously within the experience until you make it private again or delete your account.

Please use JUNO PORTALS respectfully and do not submit unlawful, abusive, threatening or otherwise harmful content.

By using JUNO PORTALS, you agree to these terms.

Delete my data

Deleting your account removes your JUNO PORTALS journey from our database. That means the portals you opened, the thresholds you crossed, the words you wrote, the relics you collected, your first name, your email address and your consent records.

If you left words anonymously in an Archive, those words are deleted too. Other women will no longer find them at that portal.

The portals, their texts, their audio and the relic artworks stay. They are part of JUNO PORTALS and were never yours to delete.

This cannot be undone. There is no copy and no way back.
